new baby

I have been told that I am slow to get this info around. Just so you know, your are all getting old. I, Rick Atkinson, am now a grandpa. Lauren Kay Atkinson was born Monday, 6/23, at 2:45pm. She weighed 6 lbs, 15 oz and was 20 inches long. Good size for a trout. If you click on the link, there are some pictures right after she was born. Everyone is doing well. Terri and I will be with them Saturday so we should have some more pics. Enjoy

Well, my little bloggin buddies, I am here to say that "I am fat". Just in case no one knew that. My friend, Sue finishes her voice lessons before Nov. 4th, so on Monday evening the 7th, she and I are joining Weight Watchers here in Amarillo. My doctor told me what I already knew.... that I am fat and I need to join because since I am not accountable to anyone but myself when I try the diet at home, that it "ain't working". Now my medical problems are not as bad as I thought, I don't think. I may, or may not as the case may be, have to have heart surgery in maybe 6 months to a year. We will wait for more tests. I do not have sleep apena, but severe restless leg syndrome. I still have to use my oxygen at night. I do not have breast cancer. Now ain't that great!!!!

Well you little bloggin buddies, here is to you for your great work, and hopefully I will get down to business soon. I talked to Norma and she is losing because the pain medication makes her not want to eat.

O.K. so I haven't been on in a while. I want to report that I do not know what I weigh nor do I want to know. I am hoping that when they put these new metal knees that they don't weigh me down. ha! I will not be blogging anymore or writing for awhile after Wednesday. Hope all of you do well. Love you all.

Okay, folks, I lost another pound this week, so am down 5 lbs in 3 weeks, since putting on weight from steroids. Still working on getting it off, so don't quit, okay?
