I hope you all had a great weekend! On Friday night Rick and I were being really boring staying home, eating dinner in, and all that. Richard & Ladelle and Claire & Matt went out and wound up at the same restaurant, about the same time. R&L stopped by our house for a surprise visit and just 2 minutes later C&M stopped by. Well, I had just been talking to Rachel. She was on her way down and bored with her drive. They were all here about 5 minutes and Rachel drove up. So we had a mini party together. Real funny and really fun.
Rick and I are alone again tonight; back to normal. But we had a great weekend with Rachel here. We had my family reunion on Saturday, church and church picnic on Sunday, bathed dogs and just hung out with Rachel today.
Didn't watch my diet real well, but have a great attitude!
Drinkin' water, eatin' fiber, I WILL lose this extra blubber.

Well, I am really slow. I lost 2 lbs last week, so since I gained all that weight from three rounds of steroids, I have only lost 4 lbs total. At least I am finally losing.

Hi Everyone
Dixie, I loved your e-card. That was sooooo cute!!! Terri, sounds like you had a great day. Hope everyone did. We ate with Greg and Autumn, their kids and Autumn's parents and grandmother. The meal was delicious, although not on the diet. Greg had cooked a brisket and grilled stuffed mushrooms and stuffed shrimp (the shrimp and mushrooms were wrapped in bacon). Autumn fixed a potato salad and had green beans and peaches, whipped cream and either cookies or angelfood cake. Her grandmother brought a ham. Me - I brought nothing, just enjoyed. Mike and Stacey gave me a beautiful book and a subscription to Hallmark magazine. I did manage to lose 1/2 pound this week. I want to know how Dixie's new program is going. You all be good. Love you all

Happy Mother's Day
Thursday Rachel's boyfriend, Rodgers graduated from Blinn with an Associate of Arts in Psychology. We spent the evening with them, well, with Rachel since he was sitting with the graduates. Trey and Amy drove to our house while we were at graduation so that they could spend the day with me on Friday. We got up a little lazy and hung out awhile, then went to run my errands and out to lunch.
They left right after lunch so that they could go to her sister's culinary school graduation in Pasadena on Friday night.
Then today: What a great day! I was down 1 pound this morning. I probably gained 3 back, oh, maybe only 2. Claire came just before lunch and took me to Schlotzsky's where I ate a salad and 4 bites of her pizza. We got pedicures while sitting in massage chairs and then went to Cold Stone Creamery. But we bought quarts so we could bring those extra pounds home for our husbands to share. Aren't we kind?
Rick left about 5:00 this morning to spend the day with Trey at High Island looking at birds. Just talked to him, and he is on his way back to me.

My attitude is fabulous, my fats are too high, my stress is increasing, my water intake is medium high, my fiber is good.

I finally got back on thanks to Richard
Girls, I know we are supposed to weigh once a week, but since I was having a hard time, decided to weigh today also and I am down two lbs since last Sat. I hope I can keep it up. Richard, I do not whine, well maybe a teeny tiny bit.

Goin' nowhere fast
Well, I'm stayin' put. Looks like several of us are in that boat right now. But, ya' know, life happens. We get sick, some have surgery, etc. I had my annual CT scan on Friday, so I drank a gallon of Barium. Now, I'm sure that is good for my weight loss strategy. Ha!
One thing that helped me this week was the cake from Amy's shower last weekend molded before I could eat all the leftovers. I had forgotten about it because I had put it in Tupperware. I think that's what I'll do all my sweets. I don't see them, I don't think about them, I don't eat them! Now about ice cream...... One of these days I'll go back to yogurt, but I'm not there just yet.
I'm washing all my fruit when I get it and keeping a few pieces in a bowl on the counter. Fruit is sweet and has fiber. What a treat!!
Here's to a better week for us all next week.

Okay ladies. I got tired of not going anywhere on the old diet thing. I have been seesawing 2-3 pounds since we started this thing without really trying very hard. So, in order to lose fat and not just weight I decided to start a six week whole body makeover. I needed to target several areas to firm them up (which dieting wouldn't help) and I want to get buff. By November 23rd - my 48th birthday you ladies wouldn't recognize the sleek, svelte and beautiful me. I am going to be stylin'. Poor Gene. I told him he needs to do the questionnaire on the website so I can make sure I don't cause him to gain weight. We started walking again yesterday. This morning we didn't get very far but we did stop and pick blackberries so I could eat my 1/2 cup of those as part of my new regime. In this program I get to eat 5-6 times a day. I just have a planned amount of protein, carbs, veggies and fruits for those times. It is a little complicated but I don't have to count points or calories and this program is tailored for my body type. PEAR!!
I will keep you all posted and hope that I can be awe inspiring!
