how can we use this

Rachel how can we use this as our spreadsheet. is there a way to have an interactive spreadsheet that we can all go to and post our weightloss stuff? That would be fantastic. Also, I love the office.....thanks for that video

Dixie at her desk?

Dixie talking about her exercise ball reminded me of this scene from The Office. I don't know if you'll like it or not, but I sure get a kick out of it!

Rachel is Great, didn't give me chocolate cake

This is great! Did you all notice that Rachel added a link to a dietary fiber chart? That is a great addition. True confessions: I didn't feel so great yesterday but still had to work, so after church last night I succumbed to temptation and substituted one of Rick's horrid "Frosties" for 8 oz. of water.
Oh the SHAME! How will I ever face my friends?
I did get up this morning and worked out with my good old Mary Hart video. I use some 3 pound weights for upper body and really huff and puff when she gets to working those inner thighs. Ugh. That's okay, I'm hoping it'll all work so that I will get in the minus column this week!

Much loss to all,

the lou-nies are online

You should have gotten an email inviting you to contribute to the blog. Clicking on the link in that email will take you to a login page for Google. If you already have gmail or use google talk, you already have a Google user name and password, and you can log in using that. If not, you will need to register. I haven't been through this process myself, but I think that once you register or login, you will have the chance to accept the invitation to contribute to the blog.

Then, when you sign in to Blogger in the future, you will be taken to a page called the Dashboard. Right at the top, in the center is a box labeled "Manage Your Blogs". You should find "The Lou-nies" in that box, along with several links, including "View Blog" and "New Post". "View Blog" will take you to this page, the webpage of the blog, which you are reading right now.

"New Post" will take you to a page where you can create a new blog post. You enter a title for your post, and then type what you want to say in the big box. There are buttons at the top of the box which let you edit text, create a hyperlink, or add a video or photo. The photo button looks like a picture of a mountain and the sky. Clicking on that will open a new window that will let you upload any photo from your computer. It will automatically scale the photo to fit in the blog, and you can choose small, medium, or large size for the photo. The video button is similar.

When you're done, click the orange "Publish Post" button at the bottom of the page. If you suddenly need to go do something before you finish the post, you can click the blue "Save Now" button, and when you come back to the site, your post will be saved under the "Edit Posts" tab.

I've also added an element on the right hand side of the page called "Webpages." If you have a website that you want to share with the group, you can put it there. When you are signed in and viewing the blog, you will see a little wrench and screwdriver just below the Webpages panel. If you click that, it will open a new window where you can enter in the url and a name for the website. You will have to click "Add Link" and "Save Changes" in order to actually add the link to the blog.

If you prefer, you can also send a post by email. Just send an email to the blog email address, which I will send to you, and it will automatically be posted to the blog. This doesn't usually work very well with photos, but is fine for text.
